Sunday Funny: Ernie Pook's Comeek, by Linda Barry
It's always a trip to see my name in the paper, and I look forward to the furthering adventures of Arna, Marlys, and Maybonne all week long, but to see my name right there in Lynda Barry's own lettering blew my freaking mind.
"The comments of Morris will stay in your head." So cool!
Dag! I just hope this Morris guy, talking to little kids at the public pool, doesn't turn out to be a perv or a pedo.
That'd kinda kill my buzz.
On This Day in Pop Culture (2007)
The Alys and Seumas Show made their US performance debut.
If you're going to be in Seattle on June 10th - tonight! - head on over to Dusty Strings on Fremont for the American debut of The Alys and Seumas Show.
I'll admit I'm biased, since these are friends of mine, and I took their picture for this lovely poster. But I was taking pictures and video of them while they were rehearsing - warming up, no less - and the sound of their two harps together took my breath away.
So why not let them take your breath away too? Tickets are only $15 at the door. Ah, but there's an autographed poster included if you mention the Pop Culture Institute. Don't miss it.
