Standup by Marcus Brigstocke

Under normal circumstances, when I publish a standup routine it's a one-part deal... Then again, my admiration for Marcus Brigstocke could never be called a 'normal circumstance'; in fact, it borders on the obsessive (albeit in an entirely respectful way). In that case - and seeing as today is his birthday - only a two-parter will do!

Shown here performing on series 2 of the BBC programme Jack Dee Live at the Apollo in October 2005, Brigstocke ruminates on a few of his favourite subjects - namely chavs, modern mores, and his own resemblance to a supply teacher - all the while managing to make a corduroy suit look erotic. I have no idea how he does it, but as long as he continues to do so I'll be happy...
