Until recently, the biggest tourist attraction in Adaminaby was the Big Trout (pictured).In 1957 the government of Australia moved the entire town of Adaminaby in New South Wales and drowned the old townsite in a hydroelectric project. End of story... Or is it?
Fast forward 50 years, and suddenly the old town begins to reappear. Spooky!
I don't know why this story caught my eye like it did; maybe it's the Australian angle, the historical poignancy, or the global warming parable. That or it's a slow news day.
