Yay! Now if only my company can save me a couple of days off to attend it, I plan to be there to rock the thing.

As usual, certain quarters in the gay community are using this as an opportunity to lambast those few who actually get off their couches and try and do something. At least enough gays and lesbians responded to the call to action that the parade will still occur.

Remember, vacation is your right as a worker! Here's your free advice:

1) request vacation in writing
2) follow up each step of the way
3) stay focused on the goal

1) Whenever I request the vacation in writing he loses/destroys it
2) When I follow up he acts like he doesn't know what I'm talking about
3) All I can stay focused on is supergluing his lips to a tailpipe

However... He's been promoted, and is no longer the person who receives time off requests. It takes 30 days notice to request vacation, but only 7 days for time off. Vacation requests have to be approved by the Operations Manager, but days off go through Scheduling, and he's cool.
